Lake Bunyonyi

I'm mending my clothes and gear. They are always developing holes somehow: the piece of rainfly that got caught in the zipper, slashes on my pants from thorns, holes melted in my shirt from campfire sparks. I bring needle and thread when I travel, and when there's downtime, I use them.

A week in one place is precious when you're traveling. It means we don't have to think about logistics– bus schedules, accommodations– for a couple of days. We think about them anyway, because it's habit and because we're always making plans. But it's nice that it's a choice.
