Letter to the Obama Foundation

Michelle and Barack Obama have just started the Obama Foundation. They are asking for suggestions on what it should work on. The form asks: What do you think makes a good citizen? It then asks for a photo, and the open-ended “tell us about this photo”. Here is my response.

A good citizen spends the majority of their time engaged in projects that will change the world for the better. This can be work, entrepreneurship, education, activism. The main point is that citizenship– global citizenship– is conscious and focal every day.
